One Day in Madrid or La Mancha Wine Country

Discover the great wines produced near Madrid. Two outstanding wine regions within easy reach of Madrid are DO Vinos de Madrid and DO Castilla-La Mancha. A one-day excursion to these up-and-coming regions offers innovative wineries to visit, delicious wines, olive oils, and gourmet regional cuisine to enjoy, and a range of historical cities to explore.

For visitors wanting an option closer to Madrid than Ribera del Duero,this one-day excursion is perfect. On this excursion you’ll tour one or two wineries in DO Vinos de Madrid or Castilla-La Mancha, enjoy a wine tasting at each winery, relax over a gourmet lunch and then explore one of the remarkable towns in the area known for its cultural and artistic heritage such as Chinchon, Aranjuez, Alcala de Henares or Toledo.

Both regions boast prestigious, award-winning wineries known for their creative and different wines. Wine producers in the area are anything but typical and among the many wineries to choose from are: single estates; boutique, family-owned wineries; large, modern wineries; and organic wineries.

Tours are designed based upon the number of people in your group and the city you choose to visit in the afternoon.

Tours depart Madrid at 9 am and return between 5 and 6 pm.

For a group of ten or more, we can arrange an all day affair at a lovely wine estate located an hour and a half from Madrid. This remarkable estate is surrounded by hills and looks out onto its own vineyards. The tour includes a visit to the winery with an explanation of the entire elaboration process, a guided wine tasting of nine different wines conducted by the proprietor of the estate, and a three course lunch in the winery.

Final tour prices will depend on the number of participants in the tour, restaurant choice, wineries visited, and activities included within the tour or arranged on a custom basis, and will be quoted when we know your preferences.
